My Frustration with O2 and lack of understanding of support for the 4G version of Samsung's Galaxy Watch 3

Image
I have made a video  of how to connect to O2 or EE if that is where you would like to start.    Context I have owned both Samsung and Apple smartwatches since the first issues of both. I review tech on YouTube so know a little bit about this subject. My last network-enabled smartwatch was an Apple Watch connected to O2. Setup was straightforward. Query I want an eSIM plan to use with my Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 (4G version) and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. I am already on a phone plan with O2. Contact and advice Phone call – Screened as not urgent. They are only taking urgent calls during the pandemic. Advised to visit website www.o2.co.uk. What they do not know is that I always start with the website before I make contact. There is no plan for the Galaxy Watch 3 or information for the 4G smartwatch except for pairing. I decided to use the conversation feature within the MyO2 app. Conversation feature (a feature like instant messenger within the O2 app to talk to tech support) Cannot help with

Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra Camera Photo Samples

The Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra was released last month. Most people have a social media account and mobile phone videos and photos form the bulk of the activity to these platforms. I always like to know that if I am paying top dollar for a smartphone then it must stand up to the test. I do the reviews on my YouTube channel but here I like to share samples so you can all view at your leasure. Hope you find these interesting. 10 working from home products that will keep you productive in 2020

The pandemic managed to convince a lot of business of a fact that I always highlighted, that many could remain efficient and reduce overheads by allowing more of their staff to work from home. With a great set up from our recommendations below, you can continue to be productive like a boss. We will particularly look at designs with ergonomics in mind. We will only be recommending products with a score of at least 4.5 out of 5 on customer feedback. Let's get straight into it; 1. L-Shaped  Computer Workstation Depending on the space you have, whether it's the garage or spare room, this L-Shaped design will transform your home office.  With this set up you can have multiple screens and other equipment. This has 4.5 stars out of 5 from 1856 Amazon reviews . Get yours here.  In terms of value, at the time of writing there is £30 off and an additional 5% off if you hurry. 2.  Adjustable  Laptop Stand This adjustable and ergonomic stand has 5 out of 5 stars. It is also very affordable

Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 Review after 4 Days

Image
So I preordered my Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 which arrived on 19 August 2020 and have put it through its paces for 4 days. You can look at my earlier blog for the unboxing experience. Initial impressions are generally very good. I have mine in mystic black because they do not do the larger 45mm in mystic bronze in my county. You can also get mystic silver. The RAM is increased to 1GB and memory is up from 4 to 8GB. I have made a review video that you can see here but the summary is; Battery life  - The battery capacity of my 45mm version is 340mAh, same as on the 44mm Galaxy Watch active 2 , but less than the 472 on the original Galaxy Watch. You will get 2 days of average use with bluetooth, location, WiFi (on auto) all on but with always-on display turned off. I drained the Watch 3 to zero and charging took 2 hours and 25 minutes while turned off. The Watch active 2 takes about 2 hours. This may improve as it was the first charging cycle. Activity  - I go into detail in my video rev

Unboxing the Samsung Galaxy Watch 3

It is always exciting when you get a package delivered and you know it is your new phone. Well in my case it was my new Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra , a new Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 and a set of Samsung Buds live . You should check out this video , which shows all 3. But you are all here for the unboxing of the Galaxy Watch 3. Samsung did not release the watch 2 following the original galaxy watch so there was great anticipation for this one. I went with mystic black instead of mystic bronze for the simple reason that Samsung chose to only do a smaller version of the mystic bronze at 41mm. I wanted the biggest screen size which was only available in Mystic Black. So I now have a phone and buds live in mystic bronze, while my watch is mystic black. I hope this helps you decide when you think of screen size. The other problem I faced is that I paid more for the 4G version but O2, who I am with for my phone contract, do not do sim plans for galaxy watch 3s. That is frustrating. I may have

The Galaxy Watch 3 is here and comes with a free gift

What's the deal with the naming? This week saw the release of the widely anticipated  Samsung Galaxy Watch 3,  actually called the Watch3. This is because a Galaxy Watch 2 was expected last year, following the release of the original Galaxy Watch the year before but was not. In fact, Samsung skipped the Galaxy Watch 2 name completely and went straight to 3. There was a Galaxy Watch Active 2 released last year but this is a different line.  The Galaxy Watch 3                 There are 3 colours: Mystic Bronze  (by now you have heard the hype around this). Ok, I'll admit the colour is tempting. As I have already ordered the Note 20 Ultra in Mystic Bronze, I was about to order my Watch 3 in the same colour, until I noticed it only goes up to 41mm instead of the 45mm size. The 41mm Bluetooth version is £399 and the 41mm 4G version is at £439. Battery size is 247mah. Mystic Black  (My personal favourite) - This is the one I have ordered at 45mm 4G. The 41mm Bluetooth version is £3
