The galaxy s3 is a great phone and there is no better phone out there at the moment. In fact, the best combination of 2 great names (Samsung and Google) means that i can't wait to get my handa on the galaxy s4. I am hoping though that they fix one problem which is the battery life. i currently can not go a full day of normal use on one charge. I'm having to use my phone on power saving mode which is not ideal as i can't explore all the features the phone offers. It looks like my smart phone would have to be an ordinary one until this is sorted.

So if you have now got your ics update you will be over the moon. I have had mine for a few days and i have to say, it's the best mobile phone operating system i've ever used (yes i've used ios longer than i've been on android). I'm not going to go into this though. I've noticed one problem which is battery drain. Now i don't know the technical stuff apart from things like turning off bluetooth, wifi, etc saves battery. I'm gonna tell you that you don't need to change any of the settings you had before the upgrade. What you need to do is let your battery go flat and then charge it fully from the mains not bluetooth. Do this a few times (usually takes a week of using ics to sort the problem out) and the system seems to optimise battery use and should be back to how it was before the upgrade.
