Samsung Galaxy note 3 screen and display flickering FIX

I have spent a lot of time researching this and will keep it short. This is a software issue and hopefully it will be resolved in the next update. In the meantime if a soft or hard reset does not work, like in my case, then your only option is to go into settings, general, developer options and tick "disable hardware overlays". You may also want to tick "force GPU rendering" but not really necessary. If you can't see Developer options go to settings, general, about phone and tap the build number at least 7 times. Please note that if you turn your note 3 off you will have to go back into developer options to tick again.

Mine now works fine whereas before it had so much flicker I couldn't actually see a playing video.

I have made a video  of how to connect to O2 or EE if that is where you would like to start.    Context I have owned both Samsung and Apple smartwatches since the first issues of both. Galaxy s2 battery drain after ics update (Poor battery life)

So if you have now got your ics update you will be over the moon. I have had mine for a few days and i have to say, it's the best mobile phone operating system i've ever used (yes i've used ios longer than i've been on android). I'm not going to go into this though. I've noticed one problem which is battery drain. Now i don't know the technical stuff apart from things like turning off bluetooth, wifi, etc saves battery. I'm gonna tell you that you don't need to change any of the settings you had before the upgrade. What you need to do is let your battery go flat and then charge it fully from the mains not bluetooth. Do this a few times (usually takes a week of using ics to sort the problem out) and the system seems to optimise battery use and should be back to how it was before the upgrade.
